Mrs. Lucinda Hernadez
Mrs. Hernandez became the principal at Cromack Elementary School during the 2019-2020 school year. She has made great strides to get Cromack to become a 1-to-1 campus by working diligently to get devices into the hands of each of the students attending the school. She has brought new technology and resources into the hands of teachers to increase the rigor and caliber of learning for the students at Cromack.
Mrs. Hernandez began her educational career as a middle school English teacher for 13 years. She taught at Perkins, Besteiro, and Vela Middle Schools before teaching a year of English at Rivera High School. After these experiences, she became an instructional facilitator for Las Yescas Elementary School, in Los Fresnos, for three years. After Los Fresnos, Mrs. Hernandez came back to Brownsville ISD as an assistant principal at Aiken Elementary. With five years of assistant principal experience, she led Resaca Elementary School as their principal for nine years before the school closed down in the spring of 2019. In the summer of 2019, she became the principal of Cromack Elementary School, where she has brought her leadership experiences to a staff of over 40 certified and classified individuals and 500 students.
